Tom Huber, President and Chief Executive Officer | 847-465-7847
Tom has more than 28 years of experience building and managing world-class sales and leasing organizations. Prior to AEL, Tom was executive general manager at Tech Depot, a $200 million direct marketing and technology reseller. Tom also served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Relational Technology Solutions, an IT services and leasing company. From 1981 to 2003, Tom worked for Comdisco, Inc., an IT services and leasing company. Tom held several key positions there, including executive vice president of sales. While in that position, he was responsible for sales and marketing, and was instrumental in growing Comdisco from a $200 million leasing company to a $4 billion global IT services and leasing company.
Ed Pacewicz, Chief Financial Officer | 847-465-7250
As chief financial officer for AEL Financial, Ed leads the finance, treasury and accounting teams with 30 plus years of global experience in executive financial management. Prior to joining AEL, Ed was CFO of BFG Technologies, Inc., a high technology distribution company with over $100 million in annual revenue. Prior to BFG, Ed spent 22 years at Comdisco, Inc., a global Fortune 500 public company providing information technology, asset management, leasing and business continuity services. During his tenure at Comdisco, Ed held several key positions including Senior Vice President and Treasurer, Vice President Finance and International Controller. He launched his career as a public accountant with the international accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Bob Ragland, Executive Vice President | 847-465-7258
Bob is responsible for raising capital, specialized structures and legal documentation. He has more than 30 years of experience in finance, covering a variety of financing structures, including project finance, facility finance, joint ventures, vendor finance, leveraged tax leases, tax-exempt finance and venture capital. Prior to AEL, he held management positions at Bank of America Leasing and Household International, Citicorp and Bankers Trust Company. Ragland holds a degree in finance from the Wharton School of Finance and an MBA in finance from the Stern School, NYU.
Madalene Fuchs, Director of Acquisitions | 847-304-6868
With more than 25 years of experience in the leasing business, Madalene Fuchs is the director of acquisitions at AEL Financial. In this position, she acquires lease portfolios industry wide and provides lease structures to the AEL sales force by researching, assessing and tracking equipment residuals through market studies. Prior to joining AEL, she held management positions at Summit Funding Group for 16 years while acquiring and selling lease transactions. She began her lease career at Hartford Computer Group, a company focused on IT leasing, where she placed debt transactions, sold portfolios and managed contracts administration. She holds a degree in business finance from Eastern Illinois University.
Michael Herman, President and CEO of Key Assets| 619-838-4383
Michael Herman brings more than 30 years of experience in the equipment management and financial services industry to his role as president and CEO of Key Assets. Previously, he worked as president of the equipment solutions group at Comdisco, general manager at GE Capital, and in 2002, served as president of Babcock & Brown Electronics Management. Herman is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in finance and economics and a minor in business law.
