Energy and power generation:

Indeck Power Equipment Company began operations in 1960 and provides a variety of equipment and services to the power industry, including complete packaged and field-erected boilers for sale or rent on a turnkey basis. The company helped to create the rental boiler market and now has more than $70 million in rental inventory.
Indeck Energy Services develops, owns and operates renewable and conventional energy power projects. The company has developed 3,000 MW of capacity in U.S. and U.K., owns interest in 11 plants with 850 MW of capacity, and has an additional 2,800 MW under development.
Indeck Operations manages nine power plants for other companies.

Resort and golf course development:

New Frontiers Capital, LLC specializes in entertainment, recreation and sports development nationwide. Selected properties include Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa in Boyne Falls, Michigan, and Garland Resort in Lewiston, Michigan.
Canyata Golf Course opened in 2005 as a private club in Marshall, Illinois. The property was rated #42 in Golf Digest’s 2009 list of America's Greatest 100 Courses.

Agribusiness:

Indeck Paso Robles. In early 2006, Gerald Forsythe purchased the Shimmin Canyon Vineyard in Paso Robles, California. He also owns a 28,000-acre cattle ranch in Marshall, Illinois.

AEL Financial, based in Buffalo Grove, IL and with operations around the country, is a leader in equipment leasing and finance solutions for lessees, lessors, vendors and financial institutions.
American Enterprise Bank is a community bank based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Born in Marshall, Illinois, Gerald Forsythe is an active philanthropist and founding benefactor of the Marshall Educational Trust Fund, which provides interest-free loans to students.
